Folks, to prep for the Bloop Yard Sale 2008, Emily has a special message for all of you. Please click on the "Read More" link below to see the rest of this post. It is vital to the success of the Yard Sale that we all participate.

Looking for volunteers—check below in Yellow—where I need your help!

Event:  Bloop Garage Sale

When: Sat June 14 & Sunday June 15    9am -2pm

 Where:  5600 NE Windermere Road, Seattle 98105 (Carrie Rhodes' garage/driveway)

 What (preparation) supplies we may need –can you donate?

    1. Paper bags, plastic bags, and tissue paper-wrap

   2. Awning or open/side large tent-etc-which could be assembled in the

   Driveway, should it rain on garage sale weekend.

   3. Cash box

   4. Folding tables to set garage sale items on

   5. Folding chairs, so volunteers can sit

   6. Refreshments, water & food for the volunteers

 

 Volunteer "Task” help needed:

    1. Someone who knows what on-line "sites" to post our garage sale info on, & will assume the Bloop Garage Sale marketing…and (1 person)

   2. Some one(s) who will make posters to put up on telephone poles. (2 people?)

   3. Some one(s) who will put up the posters Saturday am by 8am and

   Take down the posters at 3 pm Sunday (1-2 people?)

 Volunteer shift "opportunities"

 Wed June 11 7-9pm –receivers of stuff (2 person to help EMily)

 Thurs June 12 7-9pm –“pricers” of stuff (2 person to help EMily)

 Friday June 13- 7: 00pm-10pm Garage Sale set up: (need 4 people to help Emily)

 

GARAGE SALE

Sat: 8-11    -3 people

        9-12   -2 people

        12-2   -2 people

 Sunday: 8-11   -2 people

        9-12    -3 people

        12-2     -2 people

 Sunday 2-4pm Take down and disposal (Goodwill) (2 people, w/ a truck (?) to help Emily)

 

ITEMS & INFO

 GARAGE SALE DROP-OFF

5600 NE Windermere Rd, 98105

Wed June 11  7-9pm

Thurs June 12  7-9pm

 1. Please price (reasonably) your items prior to drop-off.  Either use

   masking tape and a "Sharpie Pen", or use garage sale stickers that

   can be purchased at Bartell Drug store in the school/paper/supply

   section).  Take a guess, if you are unsure how to price, we can

   always change the price or negotiate at the Garage sale. If you

   really don't know what to price something, email me ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ), and I'll give  you some suggestions.

 2. Items that sell well:  furniture, kitchen, tools, appliances, children's clothes, books

  Please don't bring stuffed furniture, mattresses, or out-dated electronics like dinosaur computers.

  Dates to remember:

Drop off your garage sale stuff (pre-priced): Wed June 11 (7-9pm) or Thurs June 12 (7-9pm) -at 5600 NE Windermere Road 98105

Garage Sale set up: Fri June 13   7:00pm-10pm

THE GARAGE SALE-Sat/Sun June 14 & 15

Garage sale Cleanup:  Sun June 15  2-4 pm
